We are looking for a Strategy and Investment Analyst for the Holtzbrinck Group to support our team in London.

Your responsibilities

  • M&A Support: Help to identify and screen potential investment / acquisition opportunities and conduct analysis and diligence on specific investment / acquisition opportunities and support completion of transactions and integration of the assets into the portfolio
  • Market monitoring: Track, analyse, synthesize and report on general marketplace trends, competitive developments, emerging companies, new opportunities and threats to our businesses
  • Strategic support: Provide support for corporate, division, unit level strategic / business planning
  • Business development: Support evaluation and implementation of strategic partnerships; exploration and experimentation with innovative new business models and growth initiatives

Your profile

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an analyst in a management consultancy, investment bank or
    corporate development department for a large company 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work
    experience. 
  • Strong analytical acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and influence; be able to communicative technical and complex information for a non-technical audience
  • Ability to structure complex problems in simple, easy-to-understand ways, as well as manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment with tight timelines
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Power user in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications and comfortable utilizing databases (or large unstructured datasets)
  • Ability to work through vast amounts of information / data (whether presentations, models, etc.)
  • Centric client orientation (with high comfort collaborating with and / or presenting to external / internal clients)
  • High organisational skills
  • Easy handling and adapting to numerous and shifting priorities
