Digital Science is actively working with entrepreneurs and developing software internally to make scientific research more efficient. It designs next-generation tools and software to help various stakeholders in scientific research – from simplifying processes and sharing data more easily, to rethinking how we measure and evaluate a researcher’s impact on their community.

In the upcoming months, we are looking for finance/controlling interns (m/f) for our business unit Digital Science in London for min. 6 months.

Your tasks

The position provides you the opportunity to gain experience in the areas of finance, reporting and planning in a dynamic environment in the Software as a Service industry with focus on support for academic and industrial researchers.

  • You support the CFO and the entire finance team in the monthly management reporting, forecasts and ad-hoc analysis.
  • You support the monthly reporting for the senior management and shareholder directly and participate in projects to improve and automate planning and reporting processes.
  • Furthermore, you gain insight into IFRS and financial control. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get in touch with business partners and subsidiaries from around the world.

Your expertise

  • You are student (m/f) of economics, preferably in an advanced semester and with focus on controlling, reporting, finance and/or accounting, and you would like to test your theoretical knowledge in practice.
  • You have very good English skills, work independently, master the MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint) very well and you are naturally intrinsically motivated.
  • You are enthusiastic about startup companies and research. Ideally, you already have practical experience in the areas of controlling or reporting and basic understanding of ERP systems.
